Efficient data management in hatcheries involves collecting and analyzing data such as flock number, farm, house number, flock age, breed, egg production date, arrival date in hatchery, setting and hatch date, number of eggs set, number of clears detected during candling, and number of saleable chicks
Good data management can help identify the best breeder farms, the effect of flock age and egg storage time on hatchability, and hatchery performance compared to previous years
Using tools like Excel Pivot Tables and Charts can help organize data and present it in a meaningful way. Statistical analysis can also be used to understand factors affecting performance
